How to redeem Airtel Zawadi

Zawadi is a Swahili term for a gift or to reward. Airtel Zawadi therefore is a loyalty program by Airtel Kenya aimed at rewarding its customers for staying loyal to the brand by using their various products and services
The service closely resembles Safaricom bonga and Telkom Ziada, both also rewarding customers for using their lines to make calls, browse or send SMS , and even transacting on mpesa.
How To register for Airtel Zawadi.
Initially for you to begin earning Zawadi points, you first had to register for the same by dialing *326# and selecting the option for ' registration'.
Airtel have since changed this and now you automatically get enrolled to the program on successful registration of your line, meaning that all your used airtime contribute towards your earning Zawadi points.
However, if for any reason you feel dissatisfied with the program, there is an option for de enrollment. Select option 7 ' de enroll' under *326#.
Earning Zawadi points.
All you have to do is top up your line and use it to make calls send SMS buy data or any other airtel products like Tubonge or Unliminet.

Depending on how much airtime you spend per month, you will be clustered under bronze, silver or Gold status. For bronze, you earn 1 point for every Ksh.10 airtime spent. For Silver is 1.1 points per ksh.10 airtime spent and 1.2 points for Gold.

To answer this questions let's look at it as follows;
  • When redeeming Zawadi points for free devices and accessories, every 3 points = ksh.1
  • If you are to redeem your points for free airtime, 5 points= ksh.1
  • For data, the value varies depending on the amount of data you want, e.g, for example 25 points gives you 6 mb while 100 points gives you 20 MBS.
How to transfer Zawadi points to another number.
Its a Kenyan spirit to share, and Airtel Kenya allows you to continue this good gesture by also sharing your Zawadi points. So, just like safaricom bonga, you can also send Zawadi points to another number,an option that is not available with Telkom Ziada.
To transfer points, follow the following guidelines:
  1. First ensure that you have more than 100 points, since you cannot transfer if your overall Zawadi points are less than that.
  2. Dial *326# and you will be prompted to input the amount of points you want to transfer  followed by your Zawadi pin.(please note that by default, the pin is 1234)
  3.  Enter the phone number you want to transfer the points to, and press send.
To change your Zawadi pin,
dial *326# and select option 4 'Set or Change Pin'. You will be required to input the old pin, just key in 1234 if you are doing this for the first time. Then enter the new pin, confirm it and send. You will receive a confirmation SMS that you have successfully reset your pin.

  5. Lost my phone several weeks ago, went to Garden City to get a new Sim card and as I was waiting told the attendant my story on how my phone was stolen by some clever thieves. May I say I got my 0722xxxxxx SIM for free. It's good to recognise the billions in profit that loyal customers have made for this corporate even in the era where you were deemed very expensive, we stuck by you. I think I'm doing my 22nd year with safcom, even got 20Gb data on the occasion this relationship turned 20yrs.

One advantage that Skrill has over PayPal is that Skrill accepts money transactions with various international gambling and brokers like Olymp Trade. If you are a Kenyan working online and for one reason or another you can't use PayPal, then Skrill is there for you, and to make it much easier, Skrill allows you to transfer money directly to your Mpesa account or to any registered Mpesa User. However, it's good to note that the partnership between Skrill and Mpesa is not as good as that of PayPal and M-pesa, Since for PayPal you can either withdraw or send from Mpesa, but for Skrill you can only withdraw but not send directly from Mpesa.
