  The Smartphone manufacturer Vivo have launched their latest Vivo V20 Smartphone in the Kenyan market with an initial price of Ksh. 45,999. The asking price places the V20 at the top mid-range segment, a price category that is less ventured by many manufactures in developing countries due to low device purchases. But still it is a quite competitive segment largely dominated by Xiaomi, realme and Samsung. Seen as the successor to the  Vivo V19 the V20 has a number of interesting specs that has already given it a good reception being the first phone to launch in the Kenyan market with Android 11 out if the box. The phone is also trendy and sleek, with a thin metallic and glass body, an AMOLED display as well as a 33W fast charge support. The major selling point of this phone however are the cameras and specifically the front 44MP selfie camera with an impressive performance including advanced AI algorithms and 4K video recording.   Released March 2019, the Huawei P30 Pro launched in Kenya April 2019 together with the P30 and P30 lite. Though it had an initial retail price of Ksh. 99,999, the Huawei P30 Pro price in Kenya is now between Ksh. 67,999 and  Ksh. 72,000 for the 8GB/128 GB variant..  It's current Jumia price is Ksh.88,000 for the 8GB/256 GB variant while Phoneplace Kenya is selling the 8GB/28GB P30 Pro at Ksh. 67,999. Pigiame has the 8GB/128GB one for Ksh. 77,500 and you can also get one at Priceinkenya @ Ksh. 61,000 for the 6GB/128GB variant. The huge price variation suggest that you need to check a number of stores before settling on a given one as this could save you some good amount. This phone is not the first nor the last to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset, and already has a number of competitors in the market, with the OnePlus 8T seen as it's major challenge.   Nokia 7.1, is one of Nokia's android phones released October 2018 and has a retial price of around $110 though the phone is no longer widely available.   Announced March 2020, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S is available in the US for a price between $220 and $259 depending on the memory size and the store you're buying it from. The redmi note 9s has an impressive spec sheet that a company like Xiaomi can pull through.
