Infinix Zero 8 close competitors and rivals.

Infinix Zero 8 Competitors

Infinix, just like it's sister brand Tecno, seem to be taking calculated move to move itself up the smartphone price segment, and with the recently launched zero 8, Infinix is now entering the highly competitive mid-range segment, a market niche that has been dominated by the likes of Xiaomi Oppo and Samsung.
Currently available for approximately USD.2900, the Infinix Zero is quite a trade mark, with the company for the first time making a bold move to make itself stand out with the euniqu diamond shaped design that arranges all the four camera sensors in a rhombus design at the center top of the phone.
Although I don't personally like the appearance as it reminds me of those cheap phones we saw in the last decade.
We however give some credit to Infinix especially after we criticised them for trying to copy the Nokia design in the Note 7.
The Infinix Zero 8 features some flagship features that might not be able to come by at such a price including a powerful processor,8 Gb RAM, a 64 MP main camera and a huge battery with 33 W fast charging support.
But a closer look at it's close competition reveals that some like the Realme 6 launched early this year already travelled this narrow path, and could even have better goodies including Corning Glass 3 protection.
In this article we are going to give you a closer look at some of the phones we feel could be the best alternatives and is critical that you check them out before going for the Zero 8, as you might just chance your mind.
The closest rival to this device is non other than it's sister the Camon 16 Premier.
Launched at the same time the two phones have a number of similar features including:
  • A Mediatek Hellio G90 T chipset.
  • 8 Gb RAM and 128 GB internal storage.
  • A Quad camera setup made of 64 MP+ 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP sensors.
  • A 4500 mAh battery.
The above spec similarities means that we would expect both devices to give us a similar performance, but a closer look reveals that Tecno did a better job that Infinix especially when it comes to the camera performance.
The Camon 16 Premier has already won a number of awards including the IFA Camera Technology Innovation Smartphone Gold Award Championship of CVPR 2020, Lip Dark complexion segmentation and the First International standard for mobile Terminal Computing Photography System.
I also feel that in terms of user experience Tecno gives a better integration, and while both brands are known for cluttering their screens with a number of bloatware and ads,Infinix stretches it too far, and will have to get contented with massive ad pop upd each time you turn on your data.
Another phone we highly recommend you check it out is the Realme 6 which apart from also spotting a number of similarities with the Zero 8, it pushes it's limits much further than Infinix or Tecno can ever imagine.
Apart from supporting a number of 4G LTE bands, Realme 6 features a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, something that has never been seen in an Infinix device.
The Infinix Zero 8 Competitors include:
  • The Tecno Camon 16 Premier.
  • Realme 6.
  • Samsung Galaxy A50
  • Realme7i.
  • Nokia 5.3.
  • Oppo A92.
  • Samsung Galaxy A51.
