The Xiaomi Redmi 9 is one of Xiaomi’s budget Smartphones with a retail price of Ksh. 17,399. The phone was released June last year and is seen as a successor to the 2019 Redmi 8.

It features a 6.53 inch IPS LCD screen the same size as the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 9 and the Redmi 9c. It also comes with a Full HD + display of 1080 x 2340 pixels, the same as the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi Note 8 Pro making these phones the very few high quality display budget phones. Many smartphones at this price tag come with 720p displays including the likes of Infinix Note 8.

Others are an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Supported Camera features include LED flash, panorama and HDR, and can shoot 1080p videos, the same as the 8MP selfie camera.

The phone is powered by a non removable 5,020 mAh battery with 18W fast charge support.
