Released May last year, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is now available in Kenya for Ksh. 18,999. It is a budget phone that banks on the display, Cameras and the battery as it’s major selling specs.
It features some of the specs expected of a phone at it’s price and is seen as the successor to the 2019 Redmi Note 8 which is still one of the best budget Smartphones till date.
The Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53 inch IPS LCD screen, the same size as the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 9 and the Redmi 9c. In the camera department the Redmi Note 9 comes with a total of five Cameras, four in the rear and one in front. The rear cameras are made up of a primary 48 MP wide lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Supported Camera features include LED flash, panorama and HDR, and can shoot 1080p videos, the same as the 13MP selfie camera.
The phone is powered by a non removable 5,020 mAh battery with 18W fast charge support and 9W reverse charging.
