Infinix Mobility have launched their latest Note series Smartphones the Note 10, Note 10 Pro and the Note 10 Pro NFC. The Note 10 Pro is expected to retail at around Ksh. 27,999 once it becomes available in the country.
It takes over from last year's Note 8 and has a number of improvements including a much better processor, better display quality and a lovely design. However there are a number of similar specs including the same screen size.
The launch of the Infinix Note 10 series comes just days after it's sister brand Tecno Launched the Camon 17 series as their latest camon phones. This is why it is not surprising that the Infinix Note 10 Pro has a lot of similarities with the Camon 17 Pro just like what we saw in last year's Infinix Zero 8 and Camon 16 Premier.

Infinix Note 10 Pro vs Camon 17 pro. |
Though the price of the new Infinix Note 10 phones could be much higher than last year's Note 8 series, there are a number of worthy upgrades that we have been yearning for since the Note 7 including the Full HD+ display instead of the HD+ in the Note 8 and Note 7. This was one of the key reasons why we never recommend the two phones to our readers and we must give it to Infinix for listening to our request.
The Infinix Note 10 Pro features a 6.95 inch IPS LCD screen the same size as it's predicessor the Note 8 and slightly bigger than the 6.8 inch in the Camon 17 Pro. Though it would have been great if Infinix had given us an OLED panel here, the 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate are a welcomed addition and this is the first time we're seeing a much more responsive display in an Infinix Note phone.
The display resolution of this phone is a Full HD+ of 1080 x 2460 pixels exactly the same as the Camon 17 Pro. This is a worthy upgrade from the 720 x 1640 pixels of the Note 8. With a 20:9 aspect ratio, a center punch hole design and a good pixel density of 387 ppi you will love watching videos and playing games in this phone.
Speaking of games, the Note 10 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio G95 Octa-core processor with 2x 2.05 high performance cores and 6 x 2.0 GHz efficiency cores. This is a powerful mid-range processor that has 25% better performance than the Helio G80 in the Note 8.
The processor is backed by 6 or 8GB of RAM making this phone a true budget gaming phone and can handle any task you throw at it be it multitasking or gaming. It is very unlikely that you will experience any lagging or heating issues with this phone.
Just like it's predicessor the Note 10 Pro is made of a Glass front, a plastic back and a plastic frame and has no Glass protection or IP rating meaning this phone is not dust or water resistant. You will have to be extra careful with your phone at all times. While the decision to go for plastic is so as to bring the price of this phone as low as possible, we have already seen a number of much cheaper phones especially from Xiaomi that have Gorilla Glass protection including the Redmi Note 8 and Note 9.
Being a 2021 phone the Infinix Note 10 Pro ships with Android 11 atop the XOS 7.6 skin. Just like Tecno's HiOS, the XOS has not been my favorite due to it's annoying ads and lots of bloatware and I won't say anything much about it here.
This phone is available in two memory variants of 6+128 or 8+256GB making it one of the very few under 30k phones with such an amount of storage and we must give it to Infinix for doing a proud job here. You can choose between three color variants of Black, Purple or Nordic secret. The later is my favorite.
In the camera department the Infinix Note 10 Pro has a total of five cameras four in the rear and one in front. The rear cameras are made up of a primary 64MP wide lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP monochrome and a 2MP depth sensor. Supported Camera features include LED flash, panorama and HDR and can shoot 4k videos.
After realizing there was not much benefit in the dual selfie camera of the Note 8, Infinix decided to get rid of the secondary selfie camera and give us a single 16MP selfie camera which is more than enough for your selfie needs though it will have a hard time against the 48MP selfie camera of the Camon 17 pro.
The phone is powered by a non removable 5,000 mAh battery which Infinix claims can give you up to 49 days Standby, 11 days gaming, 58 hours calling and up to 142 hours music playback. It also Supports 33W charge whose 5 minutes charge can give you enough battery juice for 2 hours of gaming.

At this price the Note 10 Pro has a number of worth Competitors including the Infinix Zero 8, Camon 16 Premier, Samsung Galaxy A32, Camon 10 Pro and a number of other sub 25K phones that have almost the same Specifications.
