Realme 6 Pro Price in Kenya and Specifications

Released March 2020 the realme 6 Pro is one of great mid-range phones from realme, a company that has gained alot of popularity due to it’s mid-range phones with flagship frsturrs at a relatively low price closely competing with Xiaomi.

The realme 6 Pro is available in Kenya with an average retial price of Ksh. 34,499. It has a number of specs as it’s key selling points including a glass body, big display, big memory and a good processor to match.

However the phone has had to battle it out with a number of worthy Competitors most of them from the rival brands Xiaomi, Infinix and Tecno as well as a number of Samsung phones. Things could even get tougher for this great phone due to the recently launched Tecno Camon 17 Pro and Infinix Note 10 both having almost he same specs as the realme 6 Pro but at a much cheaper price.

The realme 6 Pro features a 6.6 inch IPS LCD screen slightly bigger than the 6.5 inch of realme 6. It also comes with a Full HD + display of 1080 x 2400 pixels the same as that of other midrangers including the realme 7 pro, Oppo Reno 4 and the Samsung Galaxy A52 to name just but a few. A nice addition here is the 90Hz refresh rate which makes the display more responsive and you will love how the phone scrolls smoothly.

Another key highlight of this phone is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, an Octa-core gaming chipset with a top clock-speed speed of 2.3 GHz. With the onboard 6 or 8GB RAM you won’t have anything to complain about and there will be no lagging when multitasking or heating issues with this phone. There could have been no better processor for this phone other than the Snapdragon 720G and there’s no doubt realme did a good job here. Other phones with the same processor are the Galaxy A52, Oppo Reno 4 and 5 as well as the Htc Desire 20 Plus among other strong mid-range phones.

It also has a maximum brightness of 480 nits which is good enough for outdoor use but unlike the Galaxy A32 the realme 6 Pro is not IP rated meaning it is not dust and water resistant. Being a 2020 phone it ships with Android 10 atop realme UI.

You can choose between three memory Variants of 6+64 GB, 6+128 or 8+128 GB available in three colors of  Lighting Blue, Lighting Orange, Lighting Red.

Being a well balanced smartphone the Realme 6 Pro has agood set of camera made up of four rear and two front lenses. The rear cameras are made up of a primary 48 MP wide lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. It is quite assuring to note that the phone has a 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom. Many phones at this price shy away from a telephoto lens and usually prefer a depth sensor instead.

The camera prowess of this phone is also evident in front with a dual selfie cameras made up of a 16MP and an 8MP secondary lens. Supported Camera features include LED flash, panorama and HDR, and can shoot 4k videos.

The phone is powered by a non removable 4,300 mAh battery which might look ordinary but it’s 33W fast charge can deliver 100% charge in just 57 minutes.
