A closer look at these two series reveals a number of similarities with slight differences and this might make it difficult for buyers to choose one over the other.

Design.

Both phones are made of a glass front, plastic back and an a plastic frame with both phones not having any Gorilla Glass protection and are not IP rated.

Both also have a closer front with a center placed punch hole camera and almost bezel less full display front. The Camon 17 Pro measures 168.9 x 77 x 9 mm while the Infinix Note 10 Pro measures 172.8 x 78.3 x 7.8 mm. This means that the Infinix Note 10 Pro is slightly taller wider and much slimmer than the Camon 17 Pro.

At the back the Note 10 has an almost square camera arrangement as compared to the slimmer rectangular arrangement on the Camon 17 Pro. Both phones have the vertical branding at the bottom left and if you look at the two you will agree with me that in terms of design we must give it to Infinix for doing a splendid job here.

Colorwise the two phones are also very much apart. The Camon 17 Pro is available in either California Silver or Malina Blue while the Infinix Note 10 Pro is available in either Black, Purple or Nordic Secret.

Display.

Both phones have very big displays with the Camon 17 having a 6.8 inch screen while the Note 10 Pro has a slightly bigger 6.95 inch. The 1.5 inch difference might not look too much on paper but as far as Smartphone display real estate is concerned that is a very huge difference. Both displays are .Ade out of an IPS LCD panel and both have the same Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. While the Camon 17 Pro has a pixel density of 395 ppi, the Note 10 Pro has a 387 pixel density. The slight drop is due to the slightly bigger screen. Both phones support 90Hz refresh rate and are bright enough to be used outdoors.

Considering that there's no much display differences both phones have almost the same score here but we will still give it to Infinix for the extra screen size.

Cameras.

This is where things get alitle bit interesting, and is easy to see why. Both phones feature a Quad rear camera setup with the same 64MP primary lens, 8MP Ultrawide lens, 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP monochrome lens. So we would expect the same results from the rear cameras of both phones.

However it is with the front camera that things take a bid twist with Infinix going for a single 16MP selfie camera in their Note 10 Pro while on it's part Tecno settled for a 48MP selfie camera. Looking at the two their's no doubt who the winner is here, and Tecno scores a big one here. Both phones can record 4K video content.

Software performance.

This is another area where we expect both phones to have almost the same results considering that both are powered by the same MediaTek Helio G95 processor which has a top clock-speed of 2.05 GHz. This is a good mid-range processor and considering the prices of these devices we have nothing to complain about.

While the Camon 17 Pro is available in only one memory variant of 8+256GB, the Infinix Note 10 Pro is available in two variants of 6+128GB and 8+256GB. Both have a slot for an external SD card.

The two phones run Android 11 atop HiOS 7.6 for Tecno and XOS 7.6 for Infinix. Both HiOS and XOS are known for lots of bloatware in the name of pre-installed apps that can't be uninstalled and their thirst for annoying their users with lots of pop up ads. This is where Transsion needs to up their game and give it's users a much more friendly user interface. So in terms of Software performance both phones score the same according to us.

Battery life.

It is also not surprising that both these devices features the same non removable Li-po 5,000 mAh battery but while the Camon 17 Pro has a 25W fast charge the Infinix Note 10 has a slightly faster 33W fast charge. Both use the USB Type-C 2.0 connector. We can't pinpoint the winner here till we taste the endurance of their batteries and the speed of their fast charge systems in real life, but in paper the Note 10 has a slightly upper hand here.

So, which one of the two phones should you go for?

Considering the close resemblance of the Camon 17 Pro and Infinix Note 10 Pro it might be a difficult task to pick one over the other but first consider the following points:

Both phones have the same display quality with Full HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, but Infinix Note 10 has a slightly bigger screen.

Both devices have the same connectivity, same dual SIMM support and are both 4G LTE enabled with band 28 support.

In terms of performance both are also the same considering they have almost the same Android software Performance and use the same processor. They also have the same memory sizes.

Both have the same rear cameras and the same video recording quality but the Camon 17 Pro has a much powerful selfie camera.

Those who love bigger displays will go for the Infinix Note 10 while those who love clearer selfies will go for the Camon 17 Pro. I would be among the latter group.
