The Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is one of the three Mi 10 5g phones released  August 2020 and currently available in a number of markets with a retail price of around Ksh. 84,900. The Mi 10 Ultra is a mid-range smartphone with a number of flagship features including a high quality display, a strong built and a powerful processor to match. It also prides itself of a 120W fast charge support making it one of the fastest fast charge phones around. 

It features a 6.67 inch Super AMOLED panel the same size as other Mi 10 phones as well as a number of other Xiaomi phones. However the Mi 10 Ultra has a high quality display made up of a Full HD resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and 800 nits brightness. This is almost the same display quality as the Mi 11 announced December last year.  

In order to show it's commitment to producing high quality phones at an affordable price, Xiaomi went for a Gorilla Glass 5 front, Gorilla Glass 6 back and an aluminum frame making this phone one of the best built mid-range phones around. 

Being a 2020 phone it ships with Android 10 atop the MIUI 12.5 skin and going by Xiaomi’s past trends this phone could be entitled to an Android 11 update. The Mi 1@ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5g processor, a 7nm+ fabricated chipset with a top clock-speed of 2.84 and was the best 2020 processor powering a number of 2020 flagships including the Samsung Galaxy S20 Series phones. 

You can choose between four memory Variants of 8+128 GB, 8+256, 12+256 or 16+256 GB  available in Obsidian Black, Mercury Silver and a Transparent Edition. The Mi 11 is one of the few phones with 16GB RAM. 

In the camera department the Mi 10 Ultra comes with a total of five Cameras, four in the rear and one in front. The rear cameras are made up of a primary 48MP wide lens, a 48MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 5x Optical Zoom, a 12MP telephoto with 2x Optical Zoom and a 20MP Ultrawide lens. Supported Camera features include LED flash, OIS stabilization, optical zoom, panorama and HDR among others. It  can also shoot 8k as well as 4k videos. In front is single 20MP selfie camera which can shoot 1080p videos. 

The phone is powered by a non removable 4,500 mAh battery with 120W fast charge which can deliver a 100% charge in just 23 minutes making it one of the fastest fast charge around. It also supports 50W fast wireless charge which can achieve 100% charge in 40 minutes and 10w reverse charge.

The Mi 10 5g phones are not yet available in the country despite being released February last year. This could be largely owing to the fact that 5g connectivity is still under commercial trials and could start selling as soon as Safaricom's 5g becomes widely available. The Mi 10 Ultra couod retail at around Ksh. 84,900 once it begins selling in the country.  

At this price the Mi 10 Ultra competes with a number of top mid-range phones including the Samsung Galaxy FE editions, Nokia 8.3, Vivo X60 Pro to name just but a few.
