The Xiaomi Redmi 9c is a budget phone from Xiaomi, a phone manufacturer that has gained a lot of trackion due to it’s high quality phones at affordable prices.
The Xiaomi 9C is currently available in Kenya with a retail price of Ksh. 13,498 and has almost the same Specifications as any other budget phones from other brands with no noticeable difference or advantage over it’s competitors.
The phone features a 6.53 inch IPS LCD screen the same size as the Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9. However unlike the others the Redmi 9c has a D display of 720 x 1600 pixels, the same as other budget phones include the Infinix Hot 10, Realme C12 and others. It also features a 20:9 aspect ratio and a pixel Density of 269 ppi.
The Redmi 9C is powered by the Mediatek Helio G35 Processor, an entry-level gaming chipset that’s found in a number of budget phones including the realme C12 and realme C15. The biggest advantage of this chipset is it’s high clock speed of 2.3 GHz, considering that many mid-range phones have a clock speed of 2.0 GHz.
The phone has a total of four Cameras, three at the back and one in front. The Triple rear Cameras are made up of a 13MP primary lens, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The primary camera is the same as that in the Redmi 9 but the 8MP macro lens in the Redmi 9 is missing in the Redmi 9C.

The Redmi 9c is available at a price of between Ksh. 10,000 and Ksh. 14,000 depending on the memory capacity. Jumia Kenya is selling the 3+32GB Xiaomi Redmi 9c at Ksh. 12, 295.
At this price this phone faces a stiff Competition from a number of similarly priced or cheaper phones.
