Nokia 3.4 Price in USA and Specifications

 

Announced September 202, the Nokia 3.4 is available in the US with a price tag of $169.00 for the 4/64GB Variant.

The Nokia 3.4 is the latest of the Nokia 3 series smartphones it's predicessor being the Nokia 3.2 announced in February 2019 and released May the same year.

The phone is largely seen as an attempt by HMD to bring the highly sought after camera specs of the Nokia 8.3 to a low budget as possible without loosing the already established taste of the Nokia budget Smartphones including the Nokia C, 2 and 3 series Smartphones. 

With many flagship smartphones still way above the financial capabilities of many smartphone users, the Likes of Xiaomi and OnePlus have been working so hard to provide flagship experience at a much affordable level but other brands like Infinix , Tecno and realme have been known to be the best alternatives to those who don't want to break the bank just to have a smartphone. However most of these affordable brands target developing markets and their user interfaces are laden with bloatware and ads.

We have seen Nokia do their best to give us a wide range of mid-range and budget Smartphones as well as feature phones a perfect example being  the Nokia 5.4 Launched December last year and already available in the country. 

The new Nokia 3.4 features a 6.39 inch IPS LCD screen exactly the same size as the Nokia 5.4 . It has a HD+ punch hole display that closely resembles that of the Nokia 3.2. In fact the phone looks exactly like the 3.2 and would be almost impossible to tell between the two by their looks. It has a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels an a 400 nits maximum brightness, also the same as 5.4. 

In the camera department it features a total of four cameras, three in the rear and one in front. The rear Cameras are made of a 13MP primary lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits. In front is a single 8MP selfie camera that can also shoot 1080p videos.

The Nokia 3.4 Pros and Cons are:.

• Nice compact design characteristic of all Nokia Smartphones which are well known for their aesthetics and durability. 
• Good cameras made up of a triple rear camera setup and a single 8MP selfie Cameras.
• Android one certified which ensures two major Android updates as well as timely regular security updates. Android one also ensures a clean user interface with no bloatware.
• Fairy good Snapdragon 460 processor which ensures smooth app opening, multitasking and a good gaming experience.

Some of it's downsides are:

• Low display quality.
• Plastic body.

Despite the slight downgrades, the Nokia 3.4 is overally an excellent phone to go for, and at it's price tag it is a good deal.

The phone comes in three variants of 3/32 GB, 3/64GB and 4/64 GB, all with an option for an external SD card and have been available since October Last year.

The Nokia 3.4 is currently selling in the USA with a retail price of around 169.00. The price can slightly varry depending on the memory size and the store you're buying it from of course.

Considering it's price and spec list, the Nokia 3.4 will  face a lot of competition from the likes of Realme and Xiaomi with it's major Competitors including the Infinix Hot 10, Tecno Spark series, realme C12 and the Nokia 2.4 among other budget Smartphones.  

At $139.99, the 3/64 GB Nokia 2.4 offers some competition to the Nokia 3.4. It features a slightly bigger display of 6.4 inch compared to the 6.39 inch of the 3.4, as well as a slightly bigger battery of 4,500 mAh. Even the Mediatek Helio P22 in the Nokia 2.4 has a slightly higher clock speed of 2.0 GHz unlike the Snapdragon 460 in this phone that has a top clock speed of 1.8 GHz. 

However the 3.4 has some slight advantages over the Nokia 2.4 including a Triple rear Cameras and a 4GB RAM instead of 3GB in the 2.4.

Another close rival of the Nokia 3.4 is the Oppo A12, launched and released April 20th 2020 some months before the 3.4.

Both phones have a number of similarities including the same HD+ resolution, same storage and almost the same measurements including the screen size. They also within the same price tag.

Another worthy Competitor of the Nokia 3.4 is the Samsung Galaxy A12 with a 6.5 inch display and Quad-rear Cameras. Just like the Oppp A12, the Galaxy A12 is also powered by the Mediatek Helio P35 and has a HD+ resolution.

Some other phones that you can consider before settling on the Nokia 3.4 include the Infinix Hot 10, realme C15 and the Oppo A31 among other budget Smartphones.

Of course one major advantage that almost all Nokia phones have over it's competitors  is the clean user interface and timely software as well as security updates courtesy of Android One. This ensures almost zero bloatware apps in the name of pre-installed apps and no annoying pop up silent ads.
