The Vivo V20SE is a mid-range Smartphone from Vivo released September 2020 and has a retail price of around Ksh. 28,999. It it the light version of the Vivo V20 released during the same time. 

The V20SE features a 6.44 inch AMOLED panel the same size as all Vivo V20 and V21 series phones. It has a good display resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels resulting in an impressive pixel density of 409 ppi. You will love watching movies and playing games on this device.

Measuring 161 x 74.1 x 7.8 mm and weighing 171g the V20SE is almost the same size and width as the V20, both having the same weight as well.

Being a 2020 phone it ships with Android 10 atop the Funtouch 11 and going by Vivo’s history it could be entitled to an Android 11 update. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor a slight downgrade from the Snapdragon 720G of the V20. The 11nm Snapdragon 665 is still a good mid-range processor already powering a number of other mid-range phones including the HTC Desire 20 Pro. 

Unlike many phones that give you an option to choose between a number of memory variants the V20SE is available in only one memory variant of 8+128 GB with an option the expand the storage via an external SD card. You can choose between two color variants of Gravity Black and Oxygen Blue.  

In the camera department it comes with a total of four Cameras three in the rear and one in front. The rear cameras are made up of a primary 48MP wide lens, a 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP depth sensor. This is almost the standard camera configuration for phones at this price range though some slot in an extra depth sensor. Many tend to shy away from a telephoto lens at this price because it will drastically increase the price. 

In front is a single 32MP selfie camera lens slightly lower than the 44MP in the V20. Vivo have always been giving extra attention to their selfie performance something that is evident here. The rear cameras can shoot 1080p. Videos are also a downgrade from the 4k video recording of the V20. 

The phone is powered by a non removable 4,100 mAh battery with 33W fast charge that can deliver 62% charge in just 30 minutes.
