Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Price In UK And Specifications

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Price in UK

Xiaomi Mi Note 10 is a 4G LTE Smartphone released by Xiaomi in November 2019 and currently retails at around £449.99 in the UK.

The Mi Note 10 is another powerful mid-range device from the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, but unlike many 'Chinese' brands that seem to target only a given set of markets with a number of compromises that have to be made for the sake of pricing, Xiaomi products have a Global taste and can compete exceedingly well with top tier brands like Samsung and OnePlus across the Globe.

What is remarkable about this phone is it's ability to bring high-end specs to a price twice lower than that of many flagship devices without compromising on the looks, quality, performance as well as the user experience.

The Xiaomi Mi note 10 got a title of being the first phone to feature a 108 MP camera, and it's penta camera set up also includes not just one but two telephoto cameras and a dedicated macro lens.
Being the global version of the CC9 which is  available in China, the Mi Note 10 is available in a number of countries including Malaysia, Europe, India among other Xiaomi Key markets.

It features some exciting specs including a big FHD + display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection both in front and back, a penta camera set up and a 5260 mAh battery with fast charge 30 W. It's beutifuly curved screen, high resolution display and a massive 5260 battery with 30 W fast charge support are just but some of the biggest highlights of this amazing device.

The Phone features a 6.47 inch AMOLED panel with Full HD Display of 1080 x 2340 pixels with a pixel Density of 398 ppi. This is quite a good display, and while it can't really match QHD displays in the likes of Samsung Galaxy S20 Series as well as Xiaomi Mi 11 or Galaxy S21 Ultra, it is still pretty good and is the same resolution in the likes of Samsung Galaxy S20FE as well as the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus among other flagship and mid-range Smartphones.

It's Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor is quite good and the Adreno 618 GPU combined with 6GB of RAM can handle any high graphics game out there as well as ensuring smooth multitasking without any worries at all.

This is a 4G LTE Smartphone that is also 2G and 3G enabled. It supports a number of 4G LTE Bands including band 28 which is a sort after band in many countries.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 competitors are:
  • Huawei P40 Pro.
  • Huawei P40.
  • Huawei P30 Pro
  • Samsung Galaxy S20FE.
  • Samsung Galaxy F41.
  • Samsung Galaxy M51

Why buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 10.
1. Excellent camera performance.
If you're looking for a phone that can give you really good pictures for any use, then this phone will be a good pick. It ensures you get high quality photos that look good on any social media platform and for any occasion. You can even print them out and still retail their high resolution detail.
2. Good display quality.
Display is the most important aspect to consider when buying a smartphone, and you might be surprised that there are actually a number of Key Display Specs you need to pay attention to including the resolution, aspect ratio, pixel density among others. Thankfully enough, this phone ticks almost all those boxes (except one or two), this ensuring you get a good viewing experience.
3. Huge battery capacity.
It is usually very difficult to come by a mid-range or high end device that has a battery over 4,500 mAh and last well over a day or two. This phone gives you enough battery juice to play with your device all day long, and a fast enough charger to fill it up quite fast once drained.

Design.
One look at this phone from any angle is all that you need to confirm that this is a Xiaomi device, as it retains the 'Xiaomi' looks that we have gotten used to with their top mid-range and high end phones.
It might not be that perfect look that matches most flagships like the Huawei P30 pro or the Samsung Galaxy S10, but it surely gives them a challenge to do much better in their next flagships in order to justify for their pricing that is well above 100K.
The phone measures 157.8 x 74.2 x 9.7 mm, making it one of the bulgiest Smartphones out there. At 9.7mm, it is thicker than the Nokia 8.3 5G by 0.7mm, the OnePlus 8T by 1.7mm and also much thicker than any of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series Smartphones.
While we can't attribute the extra thickness to the battery size, the only reason would be the camera hardware, since they had to create enough room for the dual telephoto lenses.
Both the front and back of the phone is made of a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 material with an aluminium frame to give it a durability that will last you much into the future.
The back is slightly curved at the hedges to improve the grippiness of the device and make it easier to hold even with one hand, but the 208 g weight of this phone will most likely call for two handed operations most of the time.
The five rear cameras are neatly arranged in a vertical setup at the top left with three cameras inside a camera module that is rather pumby and another two lenses outside the pumb as you can see in the picture above. The Quad LED lenses are placed adjacent to the cameras and the Xiaomi logo at the bottom left just below them completes the back look.
The front of the device is largely made of the display that curves at the hedges and at the top is the u shaped mini-drop notch that looks rather ugly with thin bezels at the top and bottom of the screen.
The power button and the volume rockers are placed at the right hand side of the phone, and unlike other Xiaomi 10 devices the Mi Note 10 thankfully retains the classic 3.5 mm jack port.

Display.
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Price in UK

The phone has a curved 6.47 inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. This is almost the same display quality as that of the Samsung Galaxy S20FE, which has a slightly higher price of around Ksh. 63,000 that could be justified by the 5G support. It also features a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a pixel density of 398 ppi. This will be good enough to have a nice video viewing experience, and the HDR10 even extends that experience  much further. The display is also good for a lovely gaming experience as well as any form of HD and full HD streaming.
With 600 nits maximum brightness the phone will be as good enough outdoors as indoors, and won't give you any reason to complain about it's display performance under any circumstance, except maybe under water of course.
Software Performance.
The Mi note 10 comes with Android 9.0 (pie) out of the box, considering the time it was manufactures. Thankfully it is Android 10 ready, and could well be able to receive Android 11 update. Atop the Android 9 is Xiaomi's own MIUI 12 skin. The MIUI 12 is a relatively clean Android version, and though it comes with one or two pre-installed apps that you might not really be interested in, it is nothing compared to other Chinese brands when it comes to amounts of bloatware and ads users have to but up with in exchange for a fair price.
This being an internationally focused brand, we must honestly confess that Xiaomi have done a good job when it comes to it's User Interface, and it's customers enjoy a relatively good user experience relatively close to that of stock Android one smartphones.
Another noticeable effort by this brand is their constant efforts to give it's smartphones timely software updates in order to keep up with the latest Android versions. This ensures your pricy device remains competitive for a number of years to come. You don't need to spend such an amount on a phone that will be technologically obsolete some months down the road.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G, an 8nm fabricated gaming Chipset with a quad-core CPU with a top clock speed of 2.2 Mhz. This is the same processor that also powers the likes of Samsung Galaxy M51, Xiaomi Poco x2, Realme X2 and Vivo x50 among other mid-range devices. While it's Adreno 618 is quite good and can handle any game you throw at it quite comfortably, we would have loved to see the Snapdragon 750 G Chipset in this Smartphone, which apparently has slightly better graphics rendering thanks to it's Adreno 619 GPU. All the same, at such a price we really have nothing to complain about. It is also quite interesting to note that Xiaomi decided to use the same chipset in the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro.
The phone comes in two variants of 6GB or 8 GB RAM with either 128 GB or 256 GB internal storage with no external SD card support. Of the two Variants the 6GB one is mostly available than the 8GB.
Cameras.
There's no doubt the cameras are the main selling point of this phone, and as  mentioned earlier this is one of the best camera smartphones you can get out there at the moment.  Unlike many other camera phones that try to either come up with a revolutionary camera trick or rely on heavy AI algorithms, the Mi note 10 banks on pure stock camera hardware to deliver incredible performance that's hard to come by.
The primary camera is a 108 MP lens, the highest never camera resolution seen in a smartphone. And it is not just on paper, as you will soon confirm that the camera actually shots incredibly high quality photos that can rival those of a DSLR camera. It produces super sharp pictures with detail, rich color and good contrast that you can't get with any other phone camera out there.
And in order not to fill up your space the camera app allows you to save the pictures in a 4-1 cut out ratio of 27 MP. But it would feel great to once in a while try to save one or two memorable moments in the full 108 MP resolution.
Another advantage of such high resolution pictures is that it allows you to crop the photo upto the smallest detail without wearing out the picture quality.
The 20 MP ultrawide lens also has a pretty good performance, but might not really be the best ultrawide lens out there, but still the same it is more than good for a mid-range device.
The major question however is why two and not one telephoto lenses?
Well, the first 8 MP telephoto is paired with the macro lens in order to give more detailed portrait photos without the need of going so much closer to the subject when taking portrait pictures. The second is a 5 MP with upto 4x optical zoom and another 5x digital zoom. The disadvantage here is the same challenge we see with other 5MP telephoto lenses. They usually produced low picture quality as a result of the telephoto zoom, and most of the times it's even much better to take full pictures using the primary camera the crop them to the required level of zoom.
There is also the night mode which also produces satisfactory results under low light, though it might look somewhat difficult to identify subject details.
You can as well shoot videos of any resolution upto 4k@30fps. Others include 1080p@30/60/120/240fps and 720p@960fps. So go out there and do your thing.
At the front is a single 32 MP selfie camera that is good enough for your selfie photos that will no doubt look great on your social media pages and handles. You can as well shoot 1080p videos with it.
Battery.
The phone comes with a massive 5260 mAh battery, enough to power this beast-of-a phone. But such amount of battery could have been out of necessity, and not an extra show of superiority. The phone's size, amount of hardware and the demanding display as well as the type of Chipset used could be the major reasons Xiaomi decided to go for such an amount of battery juice in order to keep up with the device power needs.
And since it would practically take ages to fill up such a battery with a normal charger, Xiaomi decided to give us a 30W fast charger. It might not compare with the 45W of the Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra, but is better than most phones at it's price range. It is fast enough to give you 58% charge in just 30 minutes or full charge in just 65 minutes.
This will totally eliminate the need to use your phone while plugged into the socket or having to leave it charging over night.
Other features.
The phone supports almost all Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections out there as well as other connections including NFC. It's sensors include the proximity, compass, accelerometer as well as the under display optical fingerprint sensor.
