Xiaomi have finally launched their first foldable phone, the revolutionary Mi Mix Fold with a price tag of approximately Ksh. 166,440.
As expected of Xiaomi the Mi mix Fold has a number of industry firsts and is an all round foldable phone that is hard to pinpoint it’s weaknesses among it’s many pros.
It is has an internal display of 8.01 inch which according to Xiaomi is Industry largest display on a foldable phone.
It is the World’s first Smartphone with Quad speakers with a true panoramic surround sound that’s 40% lounder than the Mi 10 Pro thanks to a 15v smart PA.
It’s also the World’s first Smartphone with Liquid lens that uses human eye AI technology instead of traditional lenses. This revolutionary camera lens combines the power of two lenses in one; the macro lens with up to 3x zoom and the telephoto with up to 30x zoom.
The 8.01 inch internal flexible OLED has a WQHD+ resolution with 1Billion colors. It also has a 60Hz refresh rate, 120Hz touch sampling rate and HDR10+ support. It also supports Dolby Vision making this display one of the best in the industry making it an excellent display for videos and gaming.
The Mi mix Fold has a number of tools suited for professionals including split screen, multiwindow drag and drop, parallel Windows, Desktop mode, AI meeting assistant and so on. It’s multiwindow can divide the screen up to four independent displays allowing you use each one of them differently at the same time.
The external display is a 6.5 inch AMOLED panel with 90 Hz refresh rate and 180 Hz touch sampling rate. It has a resolution of 2520 x 840 pixels and an aspect ratio of 27:9.
