Nokia 2.4 price in USA.
The phone currently retails at a price of around $ 139.99 almost the same as the Nokia 3.4. We strongly recommend that before settling on a given store ensure you look around for the best offer possible.
The Nokia 2.4 has to battle it out with a number of budget Smartphones including the Tecno Spark series, realme C3, Xiaomi Redmi 8, Galaxy A10S and the Galaxy A11.
The A10S has almost all the same specs as the Nokia 2.4 including a HD+ IPS LCD, the same cameras and the same Mediatek Helio P22. The Galaxy A11 on it's part uses the Snapdragon 450 with a much better performance but the other specs are almost the same.

Lovely Design.
The Nokia 2.4 measures 165.9 x 76.3 x 8.7 mm, slightly taller than it's predecessor the Nokia 2.3 though placed side by side it would be difficult to pick one from the other if not for the slight color difference.
The front of the phone is made of a 6.5 inch display with a beautiful waterdrop notch that houses the front camera. The bezels round the phone are slightly visible and the Nokia logo proudly sits at the bottom chin.
The back of the phone has a dual-tone gradient that gives it a much more premium look. This is a phone designed for an international market therefore you get top notch design. Despite being made of polycarbonate plastic, the back of the phone is painted in such a way that it doesn't attract fingerprint stains and the texture ingresses it's grip and won't feel slippery at all.
Just like in other budget and mid-range Nokia Smartphones the camera and all buttons are all in the places we're used to and the only addition to this phone that wasn't in the Nokia 2.3 is the fingerprint sensor at the back placed just below the Camera module. This makes the Nokia 2.4 the first phone to feature a fingerprint sensor in the Nokia 2 series. There is also the AI face unlock which we first saw in the 2.3. You can choose between the Fjard, Dusk or Charcoal colors depending on your taste and preference.

Display.
The Nokia 2.4 features a 6.5 HD+ display with a 720 x 1600 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio as well as 270 ppi. The slightly low pixel density is as a result of using a big screen with a low resolution. There's nothing much different from the earlier Nokia 2 phones here except for the bigger screen. The display is not that bad and is good enough for your day to day Smartphone needs. However if you are looking for something much more you might need to go up the price ladder and at the sub 25 K you can get better displays with AMOLED panels, Full HD + resolutions and even 90 Hz refresh rates.
We couldn't get the exact maximum brightness rating of this phone but you will notice a slight strain when using the phone outdoors. There is also no HDR support and all video streaming in this device is of HD quality.

Software performance.
The Nokia 2.4 is available in two memory variants of 2 GB/32 GB and a 3GB/64 GB with the later being slightly expensive but worth the upgrade.
Despite it's Launch year the phone runs Android 10 though we expected to see it come with Android 11 out of the box. Thankfully it is Android 11 ready and being part of Android one program the owners of this phone are assured of 3 years of monthly security updates and 2 years of software upgrades ensuring it is Android 11 ready and beyond.
Another one that I like about Nokia Smartphones apart from timely updates is their clean user interface with absolutely zero bloatware and no annoying ad notifications that we see in Infinix and Tecno phones as well as other cheap brands. You will get all space for your own customization and won't have to worry about those annoying ads and unnecessary pre-installed apps that keep on updating on the background each time you turn on your data.
HMD decided to get rid of the Quad-core Mediatek Helio A22 Chipset in the Nokia 2.3 and went for the Octa-core Mediatek Helio P22. This is the same processor in the Samsung Galaxy A10s among other budget and mid-range smartphones.
While the Helio P22 is much better than the A22, this is still an entry level chipset and I would prefer the Helio G70 in the Infinix Hot 10. You will have to wait for some seconds for apps to open and get used to occasional snaps when you overload the processor. While the phone can handle light Gaming pretty well, you won't get the same experience with heavy graphic gaming.
Cameras.
The phone has a total of three cameras, two at the back and one selfie camera. In the back is a 13 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a single 5 MP lens. You can shoot videos of 1080p@30fps.
Impressive Battery performance.
The phone is powered by a 4500 mAh battery, the biggest in this series so far. The increase in battery capacity was necessary to cater for the increased screen size and the much more powerful processor. The phone can last you upto two days with normal use and the AI use- adaptive battery feature gives you an option to prioritize battery use for frequently used aps in order to prolong batter life.
It comes with a 5W adapter in the box but you should still expect over 3 hours of charging time. Considering that many of it's Competition have bigger batteries like the 6,000 mAh in the realme C12, the Nokia 2.4 will have a hard time in the market.
Nokia 2.4 frequently asked Questions.
1. Is Nokia 2.4 a good phone?
The Nokia 2.4 is a beautiful phone and apart from the stock Android experience I don't see anything that this phone can offer that sets it ahead of it's Competition. The rather old processor, the low display quality and the average battery as well as the simple cameras are not enough to compete with many Chinese Smartphones.
If not for their heavy bloatware and annoying ads, I would have preferred the Infinix Hot 10 over this phone. The realme C12 would have been another good alternative.
2. When was Nokia 2.4 Released?
Nokia 2.4 was officially Launched September 22nd 2020 and became available in Kenya almost a month later.
3. Does Nokia 2.4 Support Fast Charge?
The Nokia 2.4 features a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 5W fast charge, quite too low and won't make much of a difference. Even phones with 18W charge still take a very long period to charge upto 100%.
4. Does Nokia 2.4 have a fingerprint scanner?
The Nokia 2.4 has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor, and if you love using this feature to unlock your phone then you're covered.
